Yorkshire Water serves over five million customers across Yorkshire, supplying clean water and managing wastewater across the region. Faced with growing pressure to demonstrate environmental leadership, they approached SIPTA to produce a series of corporate PR films that would bring their net zero by 2030 commitment to life — not just in words, but on screen.
The brief was clear: authentic storytelling. Yorkshire Water didn't want polished corporate speak — they wanted films that showed real people, real infrastructure, and real progress. Films that could be used in boardroom presentations, on social media, and as part of their wider sustainability communications.
THE BRIEF
Capturing one story across two formats
Yorkshire Water needed more than a single video. They needed content that would work natively across every platform — widescreen for presentations, boardrooms, and YouTube, and vertical for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and LinkedIn Stories.
The challenge was capturing both formats without compromising either. Shooting landscape and then cropping to vertical produces poor results — important framing gets lost, subjects get cut off, and the content feels like an afterthought. Yorkshire Water wanted both formats to feel intentional.
