Exvac Equipment Sales are the UK and Ireland dealer for RIVARD suction excavators — specialist vacuum excavation machines built for precision utility work, drainage, and civil infrastructure. Based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, they supply equipment to contractors across the country who need a smarter, safer alternative to traditional mechanical digging.
ScotPlant is one of the UK's largest plant and construction exhibitions, held biennially at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh. For Exvac, attending ScotPlant 2026 was an opportunity to put their latest product lines in front of a major industry audience — contractors, groundworkers, utility companies, and plant buyers from across Scotland and beyond. They brought SIPTA in to capture the event and produce content that could carry the impact of the show well beyond the two days it ran.
THE BRIEF
Two formats, one shoot day, no second chances
Trade shows don't repeat themselves. With a single day on the stand, every shot had to count — and Exvac needed content that would work across two entirely different contexts. A landscape hero film for their website and LinkedIn, built around the professionalism of the brand and the capability of the machines. And a set of vertical social media reels optimised for Instagram and TikTok, where fast-paced, high-energy content performs best.
The challenge wasn't just capturing both formats — it was doing so simultaneously, in a live exhibition environment with a constant flow of visitors, live machine demonstrations, ambient noise, and no ability to reset a shot once the moment had passed. Everything had to be planned before we arrived, and executed precisely on the day.
